Broiled Basil-Turkey Sandwiches

This recipe calls for Sandwich Thins. They are great because they are lower carb so you can have both halves of the bread. You can find these at Walmart and Costco, probably Hy-Vee too.

Bread:
1 Sandwich thin (top and bottom)
olive oil
garlic powder
Italian Seasoning (mixed Italian Herbs in the spice section)
parmesan cheese
Filling:
Garlic and Herb flavored cream cheese
Tomato
fresh basil leaves, or dried is fine
thinly sliced turkey breast
Heat oven to 400. Place sandwich thins on cookie sheet with insides facing up. Brush each side with a little olive oil. Sprinkle desired amount of garlic powder, italian seasoning and parmesan cheese.
Bake for about 2-3 minutes until lightly toasted.
Take cookie sheet out of oven and spread the cream cheese, and add tomato, basil and turkey. If you'd like to place back in oven for a minute to warm it up you can, or you can just serve with the cold tomato and turkey.
